Property developers, Citygrove and McClaren have now submitted a planning application to LB Lambeth for the redevelopment of 69-71 Bondway. “The proposals include 450 new homes, 109 parking spaces (22 of which are for disabled use), private and communal wintergardens and roof terraces, amenity space for indoor leisure uses and play rooms, office, and retail space.”
New Bondway has two parallel demographics, firstly, the local community whom had to accept the presence of a new structure in their neighbourhood and secondly, potential investors in office and living spaces. The visual identity that developed is a continuation of the proposed architecture, it highlights the structural exoskeleton while dividing the building into segments.
